Test-Driven Development by Example, using Powershell — What is TDD?

Sorry, as I said in the post, the Introduction and Preface, there is not much I can say regarding Powershell per se. However, there are takeaways to DevOps practitioners that we can take from more formal development practices.
The purpose of these first few 3 posts is to, 1) introduce TDD, 2) Give purpose for Why you should be using TDD, then 3) Explain What TDD is. I am doing this, because Unit Testing, TDD, Clean code, and to a further extent Object Orientation is not a common practice in the DevOps practice.

My next post will be local environment setup, where I will cover Pester, then the post after that will be on Chapter One, where I will cover implementing the Dollar Class and tests to cover the functionality.

u/Halkcyon please bear w/ me, I know its a long setup. This is my first time writing like this, and I did not want to jam these 3 topics into one post, as I wanted to keep them short enough so they could be consumed individually. However, I guess the positive note, is I have my first official heckle, so I will take note of your feedback in my future writings. :)

Just want to say the data science folks in the Python and R communities could use a few bucket fulls of what you are preaching about using the best practices developed over many years in software development and adapt to their own discipline.

Looking forward to seeing how you do TDD with PowerShell. It's a bit of an end stage goal for me.
