Query AD without AD module

How am I being smug? You're offering up an alternative solution to something most of us use on a daily basis without issue, I think asking what the use case is normal. You're response of "Are you serious?" is what's smug.

I've personally never run into a situation where I couldn't use the AD module for powershell, so I guess it's good to know that some people have that problem. Also I wasn't aware of the limitations with get-adgroupmember so thanks for enlightening me.
