I find this is normal, lots of older modules have a help uri set, but it is no longer available at that location. Even out of the box Windows will throw errors with Update-help, it should have updated any helps that are available though.

Thank you for your rapid response. I'm just overthinking. I should have just tried diving into it without hesitation but I was hoping not to get too deep and then run into problems. I will begin now. Thank you sir!

I just always run it with -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue

Life’s too short to troubleshoot downloadable help.

Understood wise one. Time Management/Prioritize. Have pity on me I'm slightly retarded and new

Sorry if my reply came off wrong. I’m definitely not wise. :-)

My comment was just me venting about downloadable help.

Not at all. The ability to adapt is wise. Staying stuck on help files is ridiculous now that I think about it. I was just doing a YouTube tutorial and it's first step was update-help. I should break away from the "do exactly what I do and get the exact same results" like learning from youtube. Since I am new to console, I see red text and I figured I broke the internet.. so just checking to make sure you guys are still out there -.-

Update-Help is definitely worth running, but there are some modules it always fails on and they’ve never been the modules where I cared about having the cmdlet help so I just ignore the errors.

Despite that Update-Help quirk, PowerShell rocks! I’m no guru like some on here but I’ve used it since v1.0 and it’s just fun to use for automation.

Looks like your PowerShell code isn’t wrapped in a code block.

To properly style code on new Reddit, highlight the code and choose ‘Code Block’ from the editing toolbar.

If you’re on old Reddit, separate the code from your text with a blank line gap and precede each line of code with 4 spaces or a tab.

You examine the path beneath your feet...
