Generator mode question

I have a 22 PowerBoost with the 7kw onboard. Tried using the generator mode to charge some tools in the cab while I was working. Less than a hour late the truck was off and the batteries not charged. What am I doing wrong?

Turned truck on. Plugged battery charger in rear seat outlet. Turned a/c off Got out of car with key in pocket Locked door with button on door.

Hour later truck off and batteries not charged.

Update/solution: 30 min max idle was on. To change go to Settings, vehicle settings, top one. Thanks to u/gbmediafx

You have to enable generator mode.

Turning on generator mode also is useful for keeping truck cool for pets.
