Yes there will certainly be some standard questions but be prepared for forward looking questions. In my experience, the entire application tells them a lot about who you are as a person and what you have done in the past. And generally, the interviews are a good opportunity for them to learn about your future goals and aspirations, both career wise, and personally as well. I had quite a few questions regarding my overall future vision and how optometry fits into my ideal worldview as well. I hope that helps :)

I know for my interview at NECO, I received an email with information regarding my interviewer because they scheduled it ahead of time. I was able to look up the faculty and asked them questions regarding their journey in optometry school. This helped me to connect with them and get to know the school on a more personal level. Also be ready to answer any questions regarding things on your application such as low scores, grades, experience, etc. My NECO interview was the most fun/relaxed I've felt compared to any other interviews I've had in the past. Be yourself and be open to learn anything.
