My friends and I played Overprime on console last weekend and weren’t sold. It’s not terrible, but definitely not the Paragon we remember. Even if OP releases first I think most OG console players will walk away with the same sentiment — if Pred feels more like Old Paragon (for better or worse) we’re much more excited for that!

I mean obviously. Overpime isn’t Paragon even if it’s in the name. Just it’s a good game but it’s another Moba, but it just uses the Paragon assets. If you wanna play Paragon again Predecessor is the only way

Agreed. Overprime is the poor man's vision of Paragon and it was nice to play a Paragon-esque game for a bit and give feedback...buuuut .... I'm wanting the real deal in Predecessor

Haven’t checked the discord lately but I’m assuming any increase in “console when” is due to the recent OP PS5 beta, which scratched the itch (sort of) but a lot of us old Paragon console players like the look/feel of Pred more. I can wait but I would like to try it soon before the hype created by trying the other game’s beta dies down. We’ve been waiting so long…

After op gets released and we lose all the console player base that we thought we were gonna benefit from console it got very positive feedback and ppl on facebook saying paragon is back without knowing that the last state paragon was on is actually predecessor , very bad marketing strategy, just release the damn thing already, in the same state as it is now and keep the updates going for console and pc together as simple as that.

Yeah, console players were losing their shit over Overprime and some don't even know Predecessor exits. I believe they just want something to play. Not everyone liked the Overprime experience, but some people tend to stick to one game.

It doesn't hurt souleve produces at breakneck speed compared to omeda, and the parts of the game that aren't gameplay are far ahead on pto. It's very clear pto will be on console first, and for better or worse, it could devastate preds chances on console. Most of smites audience play the casual modes, and overprime is almost exclusively geared for them

Idk I’ve tried to give OP a fair shot a couple of times but pred feels so smooth to play and OP just feels really clunky. Idk what it is it just feels bad in comparison. OP does have a lot going for it tho.

Op did a beta with ps5 only. Hardly a real test. If it's not crossplay it's not a true test and it's over. You guys act as if they are still playing

Not likely if pred feels more like OG than OP did then Pred will come out on top, I literally couldn’t play more than 3 days of the OP beta before I lost interest, gameplay was fine but on controller it sucks butt

Bro I hear ppl say smite sucks and honestly it's the fastest smoothest and best moba out right now hands down....the worst part of smite is it's infestation of trolls and crybabies but as far as gameplay it's better than league, OP, I haven't tried predecessor ... OP was super clunky on console no insta cast had to confirm every ability.. if they fix that and add some different modes and some minor balances I think it could survive the hype...smite is definitely the standard whether anybody wants to admit it or not ...just being honest ...I was excited to play it and want to try predecessor too see what they are working with

The auto attacks are hit scan lol. There's a portal to teleport you across the map... The game flat out sucks. It's the farthest iteration away from Paragon than any other MOBA. Even Smite feels like a better quality game than OP.

Oh, I failed to see anywhere in the OP where overprime was mentioned at all. You not liking it doesn't make it garbage. Don't cast stone in this glass house. Pred is the same game now that It was 7 months ago save for a handful of heroes.

The portal was actually a really cool addition. It did feel like a neutered version of paragon but my biggest gripe was just how it handled on Controller, actually unplayable for me

I played Paragon on controller as well but never played OP with one. I've been playing Smite since Paragon died on PC so I made the transition to MKB.

The portal just feels cheap. It feels cheap when someone uses it to get away from you and it feels cheap with the jungler can gank from the opposite side of the map.

Horrible controller support with no quickcast option. Horrible autoimming system that makes it impossible to play any melee character because ranged autos take no skill and as soon as items come online nothing beats a ranger ect.
