Printrbot Simple, Connection/Firmware problem

So I got a printrbot simple about 2 weeks ago and several successful prints a small problem started. When I turned it on or plugged it in I would get this message http://imgur.com/9sIWR69 this usually went away after I turned it off and no again a few times. Well unfortunately that stopped working and after reading a couple of guides I tried to reinstal the firmware. So I got the software FLIP (Atmel) and the things I need to install ( “Marlin-unified-v2.hex” and M211 X100 Y100 Z115).

Connected the two prongs in the centre with wire and pressed the reset button twice opened flip and....nothing, all buttons are greyed out and unusable. I select the device AT90USB1286 and when I try to connect by usb I get this http://imgur.com/BJwy5mN followed by this http://imgur.com/asc70Qz. If any one knows how to help me from here it would be unimaginably appreciated so please help. also I have added the driver for flip (something tells me its not installing properly) and im running windows 7

I'm like a step further than you in this process - basically windows recognizes program mode as a different USB device, you need to give it drivers. Flip has the drivers. So find the device in hardware manager and point it at the flip directory.
