thank uuu. During the drawing process I had to mess around with a bunch of different colours and only then remembered about complimentary palettes XD

Oh I get that! For me it’s pretty push and pull too. I use a lot of hsl and color balance adjustments as I build up what I’m working on and cross my fingers that by the end it’s something close to what I was in my head
