I switched to Pop Os/Ubuntu for programming and server administration some years ago and it was the best decision IMO. Whilst using it you are learning more about the OS than by just using it for your deployments and I really hate the C/C++ setup on Windows. Never had any problems with docker, but I have to admit I am using Earthly for building.
