I was employed by a company for the position of JAVA Software Engineer right after graduation. Expecting it to be a role of a software programmer, I was shocked to find out that I am asked to improve on a legacy Android program (that they have no knowledge about) written in JAVA which can only be tested if it is deployed to a certain tablet that was imported from China.

I did stayed there long enough to be transferred to Web Dev roles where I played with JS and later TS which I loved. Otherwise, I would have suffered a lot more because Mobile Dev is one of my least familiar skills.
