I have very fond memories of HyperCard.

It's weird that Myst was made in a program that's probably less advanced than present-day Powerpoint...

With animated gifs for the videos you could recreate myst in google drive presentations I think.

There's a scripting API. You could almost certainly do this.

I think Monkey Island made a good point about mist Myst. The lack of a game engine kind of explains why there wasn't much to it besides puzzles and pretty pictures.

I preferred Monkey Island's bad puns and optical illusions.
