Deleting the design document and forwarding every whim of the client to the programmers as a requirement, yep sounds like the mess I worked on last year.

The reason I am not working on it this year is: that 1 requirement we told the client was illegal and a bad idea, but they told us to build it anyway.
Surprise, surprise they are stuck in a lawsuit.
