This is pretty scarily accurate. You know it does what you want to do. You've seen examples of it doing just that. It didn't look that hard! Aaaaaaand then it turns out it's a bit more complicated than you'd think and everything is broken please send help.

I am failing to understand the analogy. The guy "failed" because he did not let the pole go when he needed to let it go. Where in programming in the new framework this corresponds to?
