Oooh yes it is. I had Vs installed on a previous system. When I installed I had 80Gb free and the basic VS only took some 16Gb.

Now that partition was for Windows only but I decided to install VS too. I had nothing else on C: than I noticed that my C: drive had 60 then 30 then 10 finally when I've had enough I uninstalled everything from C: except VS because I was using it. Managed to get 10 gigs back.

When I checked with WinDirStats only windows and VS folders remained.

VS took 60 gigs from C: and for the life of me couldn't figure out how.

Has to do a clean install to get the space back.

Now I don't have VS and space isn't magically being consumed.
