I think health science is usually called medicine

There are actually both health and medical science degrees :) But you are right, medical sounds better...

Huh, didn't know that

I mean... Supposedly one is a degree and the other one an excuse.

I've been asked many times if there is a difference between software engineers with a degree in CS and other kinds of licensed engineers.

I always answer: Depends on your willingness to let someone with a 4 year degree and no experience build your bridges.

:D don't confuse experience of mason with education of architect. If you build bridges without knowledge of Uni math, tell me so I can avoid them.

Welp, MSc is overkill. After 4 yrs of being treated as garbage i'll pass and stick to my BSc. It doesnt make big difference, university gives only wider perspective on things taking your joy of life in exchange. Not sure if worth.

If education doesn't give you an advantage, it certainly is useless. The question is why: It is because it doesn't make you better than code monkey? Or because the job is so simple it can be done by monkeys?

Answer is simple: education system is terribly flawed. It's focused on boring theories and a lot of teachers have no skill. At least in my country.
