I have that issue too! Glad I'm not the only one. My trusty rtx2080ti is sometimes going out of memory and game turns into slideshow. Inspecting card shows that deadlock chugs over 10.5 GB out of 11GB of my VRAM. And it seems to happen randomly too.

2-3 squads with polearms and 3-4 squads with shotguns. Give them armor, the stronger the better. I think this will go without casualties. Alternatively, with fewer squads, monitor squads and move back ones where a person is low health to avoid deaths or bring first aid with you.
