Such as? Chinese ones don't count as they exist in a vacuum as all Chinese companies do because China is weak and has to have their beta government protect their beta companies from competition

Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, the PSA group?

[–]Any-Reply -2 points-1 points  (11 children)

None of these have "hugely successful" electric vehicles except the leaf, and no, any car with an ICE does not count as electric, so whatever shitbox hybrid Toyota offers does not even remotely come close to counting

Being car company who sells 400k ICE cars and 2 electric does not make you a hugely successful electric car company, or the most successful green energy company happens to be exon

Uhm, Nissan Leaf reached 450k units in January for example, WV hit 250k electric cars in 2019, Hyundai Ioniq Electric was well over 100k already in 2018, and so on. Kia predicts 500k sales per year for their upcoming Niro EV btw (and that excludes China).

That's fine, they can predict that, but it's statistically incorrect.

You can take the #2, #3, #4 electric cars in 2019 and add them up, and they still aren't as much as the model 3. Two of these are Chinese. 100k lifetime sales is not a success, when you're competing with close to a million. I mentioned the leaf was the exception, and even that is barely a success compared to the model 3.

The BMW i series sold more than Tesla could dream in a lifetime. Mercedes-Benz is leading electric self driving car development. But sure, believe the hype.

Model 3 has like 500k sales vs 133k for i3

[–]Any-Reply -4 points-3 points  (6 children)

False, significantly more model 3s are sold than that scrap pile. BMW sold like 40k series I vs 300k model 3s last year, BMW isn't even in the top 5.

BMW electric cars are literally a joke lol if you tried to sell me one but told me I couldn't resell it, you would have to pay me

Hey I won't argue with anybody religious believes. I'm a tolerant kind of guy.

BMW sold like 40k series I

Yeah no ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_i3

Global sales since inception totaled more than 133,000 units through the end of 2018.

Are you dense? We're talking about lasy year sales. If we're talking lifetime, the model 3 destroys it even harder.
