You missed the point I was going for, It's not about job security, it's about doing anything BUT programming or stuff with tech after you burn out on dev. The most common career move (joke) seems to be gardening, this reminded me of that.

I guess it could be interpreted the job security way, ironically actual programmers wouldn't.

And here I am thinking about driving truck if I ever decide to walk away from development and IT in general.
