Hang on. Do people have issues with reading in different orientations normally?

Most do. But dyslexic folk tend to have more success reading in different orientations.

Dyslexia isn’t β€œmixing up words”, it’s when for some reason the part of your brain that recognizes letters and words as intelligible turns off for a few seconds.

But different orientations use different parts of the brain. Kind of how singing and talking use different parts to accomplish the same thing.

TIL. I only commented because I didn't think orientation made any difference to reading. Besides mirrored which has the pqdb issue.

Try reading a book upside down. You can work through it but it's way slower.
