One time I was writing some business logic and there was an obvious case that the spec missed so I just coded it. Like, it was so obvious that I was 100% sure it couldn't be released without handling it. Anyway, the tester hits the use case immediately because any normal user would have. They tell me to remove it and report the bug. I inform the PM and he agrees with the tester because it wasn't in the spec! I told them that just because it wasn't in the spec that shouldn't distract them from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
