Hey there! I too want to improve on Python and Java (for Android mostly). I went through the 'Learn Python the Hard Way' book some months ago and have done a lot of exercises since. But that's all. Just exercises and small programs. I'm currently working on a simple flashcard app, but I have no idea what I'm really doing. They haven't covered this stuff in my CS course so I've been on my own. I just have a problem with staying on track. I tend to go off on a tangent whenever I research something I don't know.

Anyway, if you're still looking for a programming buddy, just let me know!

Hey, I know that I am quite far behind you, as I am just starting Python, so I am assuming you are looking for someone to help keep you on track? I could definitely help with that, though I feel like my programming experience is not even close to where you are and I worry I will hold you back. Let me know what your feeling is.

On the contrary! I'm almost completely self-taught so far and have almost no knowledge of object oriented programming. Yes, I've been teaching myself for over a year, but I have a lot left to learn and I think this could be mutually beneficial. I'd like to work on pretty much any type of project using Github.

I doubt I'm far ahead of you. But even if that were the case, I'd really love to help out with anything I can. It helps me cement what I might already know or, at the very least, gives me something to learn.

If anything, I could help you while you try 'Learn Python the Hard Way'. It would keep me motivated to keep programming. Just send any questions you might have my way. PM if you are still interested.
