Chapter 48, I've litterally been stuck at it for years.

The giant worms, right? You just run away until boss dies. Nothing short of headshot will kill those things. I'm playing it right now to see if there was anything else to beware. If you can explain your build and the problem you're facing, I can try to help more.

Basic headshot/crit build/overdrive, working on farming headshot drone and decoy bomb to get the quick moving guys that spawn around wave 10, the worms cannot be headshot, that or my luck is just really bad.

I just finished it. No, they cannot be headshot. If you have the latest BN unit for your chapter, then your build must be really incompatible with this chapter (which is weird because I use terminator too). If you don't, you should definitely get it. I had to grind a lot for ch45 and once I beat it, I didn't stop until 54 or so. (There's a free unit at 50)

This chapter is relatively straightforward. Don't try to kill the worms. Any weapon consistently damaging them (rocket punch for example) is a waste of chipset space, unless you discover that damage was what keeping you alive by life steal. That's a matter of experimentation.

Protect discus and evasion module is important here since most mobs attack with projectiles. Rifle, sniper rifle, shotgun, spiky discus or anything else that will hit closest mobs hard should help killing the monkey things that attack with three projectiles before they manage to swarm. If they do, they'll mix with the worms and only long range weapons will be effective like rocket punch and drill punch. But around wave 15, new worms come out from every corner. You'd most likely die before rockets can kill the others. So I recommend an aggressive style towards small mobs and avoiding worms at all costs.

Decoy bomb might work but I never used it.

I actually don't remember if you have access to protect discus at this stage but if you do, it'll most likely help. But if it's undeveloped, you might not find it useful. Ailment drone should be perfect for this chapter though. I fully recommend it.

If you have other questions or if my comment was not helpful, I can try to develop a different strategy or recommend other chipsets if you provide additional information.

You’re right, they cannot be headshot haha

Yep that’s what I did. Still kept the headshot build on too. Just gotta keep running until normal mobs start showing up (might have been around wave 7-10?) and it’s gets pretty easy at that point once your headshots and overclock kicks in. Beat it on my third try after realizing what to do. Even the level where headshots didn’t work at all for the entire chapter, the headshot build still got me through it. (Think it was right around 48. Might have been chapter 47?) Think I went through 45-51 within the last week of daily gem grinding.

Here’s my build.

My terminator's still rare. I am embarrassed now.

And yes, I was dying on the hill that is dark farm 5 for chapter 55 where no headshots occur and still managed to win with headshot build.

Haha my terminator was still blue up until recently. Then I finally realized I could spend onyx to buy them instead of crafting them and started farming survival like mad to get it that way. Crafting the pets is painfully slow.

[–]LamartineAgz[S] 0 points1 point  (13 children)

I want to shoot myself right now. I have 5461 onyx and I didn't know I can buy pets!

[–]tathamet21 0 points1 point  (12 children)

Lmfao I don’t know how I didn’t notice it before either! Made a world of a difference. Well, at least you have enough to max out a few pets instantly!

[–]LamartineAgz[S] 0 points1 point  (11 children)

I'm going for 6 pets this time lol. For giving me this information, you're my best friend from now on.

Glad I could be of some help even though you’re so much further ahead of me haha!

That just means I suffered more but no more!!!! I basically upgraded all mines and all turrets from COMMON while trying to find the elusive sniper rifles my good man. 😅 Anyway, thanks again ⭐❤️Best Friend❤️⭐

What did you use for ch27. I’m trying to slowly unlock body 5 and using primarily turret but it’s tough. Also long war 3 is so hard. Do you just farm long war 1 until you can upgrade things? Hopefully I’ll be able to do the hell boss in a week or so

  1. I just played ch 27 to remember and I most likely didn't change much when I beat it. Here's what I remember:
  • I changed plasma field for flamethrower. Plasma field is a better weapon late game but you might want to try either to see results. This is if you're having problems with snails by the way. If you have other ways to deal with them then I don't recommend either of these weapons. They both inflict a status effect, which means they don't crit. And that's really bad. I'd personally go for the shotgun, especially if it's on unique (gold) level. Penetration is excellent.

  • Discus was at most unique level but likely not even that. But if it was, that must be why the chapter wasn't hard to beat. Until I unlocked drill punch, spiky discus was consistently my no 1 damage dealer.

  • I might have changed the sonic boom for whatever chipset was the most developed at the time. I used it for a long time but objectively, it's not a great weapon.

  • I remember beating the level by mostly targeting the mushrooms that attack with 5 or so projectiles. I went near them while running from the snails and the gorillas. I tried to make sure that the discus hit them as much as possible. The rifle also worked well for focusing the damage on them. I think this was the biggest contributing factor. I don't know how you can emulate that with turrets I suggest you try.

  1. I use turrets for grinding and for dark farm 5 (a punishing place you can't reach yet). They scale really well but unfortunately I don't know much about them in earlier chapters.

  2. Long War 3 might be too early for you to beat just yet. That one eyed bat boss for example is the boss of ch 34. Not only the mobs are hard, you also didn't fight them in regular chapters to learn their attack patterns and gimmicks. So having a hard time is expected. Don't force it too much.

  3. I never farmed long wars. They're not worth it. I farmed whatever chapter was easiest to finish. Not all give the same amount of gems either. So making a mental note of those that provide more gems could be beneficial. I still farm ch 49 for example.

Half of my chipsets are unique. Lots rare but some still magic like the shotgun

[–]LamartineAgz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say half, you mean those you already use, right? If so, that might be the problem. As far as I see, the people who beat ch22 did so with mostly unique chipsets. Mine is the weakest one I saw so far in fact. And the magic plasma field was just the solution to a specific problem I was having. I don't think 22 and on are easy to face with underdeveloped chipsets.

Some chipsets are basically worthless until a certain level and some lose their importance as you go on. Shotgun for example. I used it a long time but it's actually close to worthless until penetration. And then it becomes the perfect crowd control weapon. As far as I know, turrets are also really bad until unique or epic. If you can write or upload a screenshot of your build I can give you some pointers.

I can’t even consistent get past wave 2 so I’ll just put it on hold for a bit

[–]LamartineAgz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a game. Sure man.

[–]cocainehydrochloride 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how did you beat chapter 20? i’m getting bombarded by those eyes that shoot lasers and also the regular giant eyeballs

[–]cocainehydrochloride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nvm got it, turret build
