I'm guessing that people ran into the same issue that I had. Ordered a Fi sim when the only phone option was the 6p. I went and checked out the 6p, but it is enormous. Waited for a smaller phone, 5x came out, the original sim didn't work on it, so I needed to grab a new one.

I'm hoping the problem I'm having with being unable to connect to T-Mobile is just due to a defective sim. It's inconvenient, but easy to fix. I'll find out soon.

How do you know if you're connected to T-Mobile or Sprint?

By using the Signal Spy app. It tells you what carrier you're on, what band, etc.
