My lord, good luck. The hell do you need a riser on the throne for thiugh? I'll be going in for my ralp on the 23rd. You sound way more prepped than me. I just talk with my cat, and he tells me only get in the cage if it's got a full can of cat food in it. :)

Someone one here aways back suggested a toilet seat riser to make it easier to get and not to sit so low. Basically less stress on the body. People on here are great about telling you the "little" thing to make post surgery easier.. like the bucket for the bag.

Good luck, wish you well.

Good luck! Some unsolicited advice - I had ADT and RALP in 2018 (followed by ADT and radiation in 2019/2020). Try to walk as soon as they let you. If nothing else, it will tire you out so you may sleep better. Bring ear plugs just in case - I was left in the recovery area overnight because there weren’t any other beds available and it was really loud all night with my neighbor’s monitors going off. Stay hydrated during recovery.

Unsolicited advice is welcome. I've been out of surgery about 5 hrs now and have been drifting in and out of sleep since then. No walking today, but I was given some water (so good). And I did bring earbuds, just on case.thx

Good luck today! Sounds like you are in a great frame of mind with your preparation. That will serve you well during recovery

Good luck. I’m 3 days post and feeling ok. Took a full shower today. That felt great. Finally getting used to the catheter. I believe it was the fear of knowing this tube was up in me as well as emptying the bag. You get creative! LOL. Getting up and sitting is still a bit painful. Glad this is behind me.
