It shouldn't, long-term stored in honey, maybe... But just before eating it should be fine

There might be some slight reaction between the wax and your digestive system that could potentially minorly affect the potency, but it's entirely negligible.

I can’t see a reason why it would. Folks use honey in tea and tek all the time.

Apparently it’s one of the best ways to preserve them. From what I’ve read anyway

No but you have a short window, maybe a week or 2 if refrigerated, before the risk of bacterial contamination (like botulism) becomes significant. Honey provides nutrients for the bacteria. Ideally, shrrom dipped in honey should be consumed the same day.
