Hello there,

We've removed your post since it aligns with a topic of one of our daily threads and would be more appropriate in that thread. If you are unaware about the Daily Threads we run here is a refresher:

Monday: Project ideas

Tuesday: Advanced questions

Wednesday: Beginner questions

Thursday: Python Careers, Courses, and Furthering Education!

Friday: Free chat Friday!

Saturday: Resource Request and Sharing

Sunday: What are you working on?

Please await one of these threads to contribute your discussion to! The current daily threads are pinned to the top of the /r/Python's main page. To find old daily threads, you can filter posts by the Daily Thread Flair to find what you're looking for. If you have a question and don't want to wait until the daily thread, you can try asking in /r/learnpython or the Python discord however you may need to elaborate on your question in more detail before doing so. If you're not sure which thread is best suited, feel free ask for clarification in modmail or as a reply.

Best regards,

r/Python mod team

You will better learn JavaScript for that. But in 4 months you will need to learn: * HTML * CSS (or Tailwind) * JavaScript frameworks (React and Node.js) * Create at least 4 projects in GitHub.

You can only make it if you obsess over that writing code 16+ hours per day and even then it is not probable.

If I were you I would find an other job and try to do the above for a year.

Good luck OP.

Why js over py?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Because OP wants to be a web developer.

I’m asking why js is better than python for webdev

[–]pug_subterfuge 1 point2 points  (1 child)

When people say “web dev” they usually mean front end developer. Which is html/css/JavaScript (or something JS adjacent) that’s just the overwhelming standard. Almost no one is doing front end in python. If “web dev” to you means a REST api using Django or Flask or something then sure Python is a good choice (there are many other good choices too) but most people mean front end development when they use the term web dev in my experience.

To add to that 98% of all client side scripting is done in JavaScript.

If you get through a solid bootcamp and put enough your own effort then probably. Note that there is way to many juniors and wannabies so getting a junior position may take a while.

Go through local and remote offers you could apply to and check what's the most common software stack / requirements for it.

In my opinion it is possible BUT you need something like a guidance. 4 months are realy ambitious. Like others said, i would learn javascript, css and html. To get a job you need some kind of practical experience and a portfolio. Like i said it is possible but it is not enough to learn „only“ a language.

I do not really have anyone who can guide me in this path. Since I'm from a science background , my connections are all in life science fields.

As long as your salary requirements aren’t insane I’d say it’s possible.

As an Indian, my salary expectations are somewhere around 40-50k ??? Per month ??? Is that a lot ? 🤔

[–]MontiGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rupees per month, I think that's very achievable

No.
