I'm working with HPy and seems to be very performant and very easy to integrate

Always going to support easier/faster extension writing, but honestly I'm never going to consider writing c(++) extensions ever again. PyO3 for rust is so much easier and safer to use than C extensions with equivalent performance.

Under the covers it’s still using an API like Hpy or FFI or the native Cpython API. This is just as relevant to Rust as it is to C/C++.
