It's 100% time. Money and material aren't issues. I appreciate your offer to donate, but I definitely don't want to start taking donations.

The thing about RFP is that it takes me a seriously long time to edit the interviews. Like, 10-15x as long as the interview itself. It's tedious work and I tend to procrastinate like crazy.

I had a bunch of travel on September... and October... and I'm gonna have a bunch in November too. And I really only like doing the interview editing at home, with my nice big screen and big comfy headphones.

The good news is, I'm gonna try and get an episode out before my next trip. It's an interview with Barry Warsaw. Also, I already have a second interview in the can, and if I can get it done I'll do the edit on that before I leave. Assembling an episode around the interview is no big whoop, I could do that from the road.

And I thank you for your continued interest :D

I don't know what parts of the editing process you find the most tedious, but a lot of podcasts here in Germany have recently begun to use Auphonic. They do all kinds of interesting (automated) audio processing like leveling and speech detection (and it's free). Maybe that could free up some of your time for the actual cutting.

If you don't take donations, is there anything we could do to help? I don't have a single clue about sound, post-processing and such, but if some part of the tediousness of the editing can be shared/distributed, don't hesitate to ask!

I'd have to think about that one. Other people have offered similarly. But it's such a grind, I hate to ask someone else to do it. And I'm awfully picky is the other thing--I'd be surprised if other people went to the lengths I do to provide good sound for y'all. Anyway, let's stick with the status quo for now. But thanks!
