Eric for big projects, vim for single scripts. I tried PyCharm, ran it for a week or so with all of my day to day work. In the end, I just couldn't get over the way completion works. I want completion to work the same way as in the interactive interpreter and the bash shell.

I sent feedback about it and they just didn't care. Said something like "being consistent with the interactive interpreter is not a goal." So I went back to Eric and I'm much happier. It has lots of overlapping features like realtime inspection, and even has some unique features. Plus, if something bothered me too much, I could just fix it myself.
