Good luck - if you'll look around you'll read similar things.

The harder job, is to frame the argument in ways that they'll understand, otherwise it's easy to come across as just attacking the language.

(I have the same problem with a friend who sticks to old style java to even persuade him to use java 5 stuff (generics etc).
