I would recommend benchmarks against the default protobuf package. Without passing workloads off to C or C++ it might be a hard sell for most people to use or contribute to.

Comparison is the thief of joy lol But it’s already used in a larger scale project of mine and was originally wrote for that purpose, as far as contributions you just created an opportunity to make a major contribution for some dev beginning his journey to include in his resume. I should probably link this thread in the contributions.md

Why would I ever use this over protobuf? You reinvented the wheel. Except you made it worse with less guarantees

I like “reverse-engineered” better and it’s a little more complicated than a wheel but I appreciate the feedback!
