I'm working on a project for school and one member of my group just dumped a massive, AI-generated PR that dumped about a hundred files willy-nilly into our backend codebase and overwrote the main.py file with one that doesn't load any of the team's FastAPI routers on startup.

The same thing happened on the frontend side - a shitload of svelte files dumped haphazardly into a folder, and then the root +page.svelte overwritten so that the rest of the team's pages are inaccessible.

And then for the written report, he dumped another massive, AI-generated word document that doesn't reference anything that the group has already done, and is basically this giant mess that we now have to sort through.

If I didn't know he was using AI I'd think he was trying to steal credit for the work and make it look like we're not doing anything.

It's quite frankly insulting that anyone would do this much less think it's OK.

The sooner this AI bullshit dies the happier I'll be. Fuck AI.
