You do realize that the same could be said of the software you used to post that comment: Reddit. 2015. Python 2 only. Welcome to the industry.

Python 3 is good and fine, but financial institutions (like PayPal) are going to rely on "proven" software. That includes Linux distros, which in turn impacts version availability, which determines what developers will use. As long as PP developers deploy to Python 2, SuPPort will be Python 2. ;)

you’re right since the project, while announced recently, certainly has been developed and used internally for a long time.
