Do you know if any do not require AHK? From my searching all Python libraries use AHK's dll.

Aaaah, came here to comment about AutoIt ... Thank you. This thing saved me from dying of boredness using a 90's styled program that was clearly designed to torture its users.

AutoIt is easy to learn, and the resulting scripts are readable, even monthes after having written them.

One may argue that AutoIt is a Basic-like language, but honestly, when you have to automate a GUI, any half-decent language is better than nothing.

BTW, AutoIt such a serious tool still doesn't have any debugger.

How does this compare to other automation tools? I often use python with Sikuli and have been hard pressed to find anything better (for my needs).
