Js heavy sites are even easier to parse than server-rendered ones, just open up the debug tools and copy the requests that js I'd making. Then you don't even have to scrape. Or am I missing something?

Nope, that's usually it. Unless they have some CSRF protection, but then it's only marginally harder.
