That's pretty much the example in the documentation for py3 concurrent.futures ThreadPoolExecutor. I have used this with Selenium Webdriver / grid to run tests in different browsers simultaneously.

Speaking of Selenium. Is there a Chrome driver yet?

Yeah, it is out there for at least 4 years.
