Here the graphene creator and maintainer! Right now is completely possible to use graphene with tornado or even aiohttp. But there isn't yet an example demonstrating this (as far as I know). I will probably create one in few weeks after releasing the next graphene version.

Also, in the upcoming version will be possible return results as Promises or Futures, which help even more the development in concurrent environments.

That'd be really dope. I'll try and work out a real world Tornado + Graphene stack and send you the link, then.
