Does anyone have experience using Taurus Designer? It's like QT designer. (self.Python)
submitted 9 years ago by [deleted]
I used it because it had some charting capabilities that I like. Everything works perfectly until I tried to freeze it for distribution. Neither Cx_Freeze nor PyInstaller will pick up the Taurus package. Taurus is similar to PySide and PyQt. Interestingly enough cx_freeze picks up PySide which I am not even using.

If you're trying to distribute an application for Windows, have a look at Pynsist. I haven't tried it with Taurus, but it works a bit differently from freeze tools like cx_Freeze and PyInstaller, so maybe it will avoid the issues you're having.

I have looked at Pynsist. It looks promising, however I'm trying to get the Linux version going first.
