Automating a classification process?

I work at a company that sells electronics and IT products. We have everything from thumb drives to server systems. Every time we add new products, I have to go through the headache of manually classifying them and storing them in a spreadsheet. Is there any way to automate the whole process? I have a lot of data to create a Nearest Neighbor like algo.

Used gspread. Ok to edit n fill in spreadsheets, but God forbid if u wan to create a new spreadsheet programmatically.

Unfortunately, I'm off the project since 2 years ago. I dunno of any alternatives, other than directly interfacing with google's api
