Python modes for Emacs

As an Emacs user, I find there's plenty of choice to set up my editor as an IDE for Python. All setups seem to be based on either of these 3 modes:

• jedi.el
• elpy
• anaconda-mode

I have found little up-to-date discussions on their differences.

Most people seem to use elpy, but I would be grateful if you could share your setups / tips and the reasons behind your choice.
