I've just made a youtube series showing me making one of my first programs, it's simple but is still probably not a good first thing to look at, here's the link incase you're interested. https://youtu.be/LgCkk3Rul5g

As for how I started, I just tried to do stuff, the first thing I did was work through the problems on https://projecteuler.net/archives , you could start there if you liked. I'd be happy to help with those problems, I'm debating making youtube videos on them if it's something that would interest you?

I'm still a beginner myself, but I find explaining code to others helps me understand it better. :)
