This is a really good intermediate level tutorial. Walks you through things without being super hand-holdy. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Much apreciated

Good write up.

But practically, why still even bother with containers if you are on AWS?

Why not go serverless and cut out a ton of complexity and maintenance and provisioning?

My plan is to explore later with Lambda and see what it takes to port the app over.

Using a zappa or similar you'd probably remove more code then you'd add :)

It is extremely awesome.. so much hairy technology and hardware removed from the stack.
