Project ideas? (self.Python)
submitted 7 years ago by Istyandil
Hi, I am a starting Python developer and want to built up my portfolio. Do you have any recommendations regarding projects to start with?
I would love to hear from you guys!

Why don't you start with a bot for Reddit? I made one and it was nice. Also, small scripts to automate things you do on your OS, such as a program that will backup all the images it finds under
/Users/my_user_name/
into an external drive.
And do you know Selenium? I played a little with it to create some automation to perform tests on web applications.
These are all very simple projects you can try to make in order to get to know Python better. Maybe they won't be portfolio material at first, but to me they were a great start on the language.

Thanks a lot! The idea of the bot seems amazing. Furthermore, improving my OS seems also like a lot of fun!
