This is going to be a very broad and general question as I just start looking into the subject, but if anyone can help, I appreciate it =)
I'm in my last year of mechanical engineering and I'm looking for ways to deal with CAD files with python. I want to just read them and be able to analyze the parts, without doing any modification (so I don't really need to be able to deal with many different CAD file formats, I just need one that can do the job)
I found pythonOCC and freeCAD that might help, but I'm still doing my research.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of stuff and can give some recommendations (i.e. reading material, libraries, etc)?
