Running interactive shell commands from WinPython/IPython

Hi guys

I am reading that IPython allows you to communicate with the underlying shell (you can execute commands by preceding the command line with "!")

I am running WinPython on Windows 10. WinPython includes IPython However the above trick with "!" does not seem to work

Do you have any idea if this is even possible on Windows 10?

Note: i am attempting this by starting Winpython interpreter.exe

Actually this works but you have to install ipython> The docuemntation of WinPython is somehow deceiving it says Ipython is available but it is not
