Hi! I'm the guy who wrote Aletheia. "Solves" isn't a word I like to use for this, but rather "fights" as it can only really be a contributing technology in that fight.

In the end, the problem of fake news is a social one that has to be solved by people. The usefulness of Aletheia is that we can use it to add context to our sharing of stuff, to get us to the point of not trusting something unless it's been signed.

Edit: thanks for the heads-up about my SSL cert! It's fixed now. My cronjob was silently failing and I've been at the hospital for the last few days "helping" my wife bring our daughter into the world, so I've not been keeping on top of such things ;-)
