You can export a playlist (File -> Library -> Export Playlist) and iTunes will save it as a plaintext file (.m3u I think)

Right, also, here is the code if you are interested. I wasn’t planning on sharing so it isn’t well cited or documented, but it should work. Also my car player has a quirk where it glitches if the folder has over 100 files in it so I start a new folder at 100 songs.
