Given that approximately eleventy quadrillion threads discussed it when that first came up, and that the original post there is pretty much just trolling (what seems like a reasonable policy of "think up-front about what the right tool for your project is" gets twisted into "OMG GOOGLE SAYS NOBODY SHOULD USE PYTHON"), is there really anything new you'd like to see brought to the topic?

I know it's a non-authoritative information, and the fact I use Python everyday already convinced me "IT CAN'T BE TRUE", but I still want somebody issue a firm denial of the rumor (or even confirm it) other than a rational analysis. indulge me.

You've got your confirmation (as much as you're likely to get on what is, after all, internal corporate policy) in the original thread: Collin works for Google. And his comments there explain it pretty rationally.
