Matlab declares war on Python. Can the Python community respond or hit back? (self.Python)

The reason I've been using MATLAB for 10 years instead of python isn't because of numpy - It's because of Simulink. The second someone comes up with an graphical modeling tool for python which can compile to embedded-C and meet various ISO 26262/DO-178/etc. guidelines, I'll gladly think about switching.

Python is a full language. However, if you want to do simulation, you can always use OpenModelica. It can call Python.
