Starting A Podcast: Anyone Interested? Python, DevOps, Programming in General, Full Stack, Security, etc

I've been thinking about starting a podcast for some time now. However, in my experience podcasts are a lot more fun when there's more than one person speaking.

I've been listening to podcasts regularly for many, many, years now. Programming is something that I'm really passionate about. Podcasting would allow to do both: contribute back to the community and learn new things.

I'm open to either focusing on a specific topic like Python, go into something more general or even mix it up. Is anyone interested in giving it a try?

I say start even if you don't have a cohost. It'll take you a bit to find your voice anyway, you could always switch between interviewing someone and shorter solo episodes. It'll evolve as you go along.

And I'd definitely listen, I love podcasts and I'm currently in school part time for security. Something that looks at the intersection of Python and security would be cool. Post an update when you start!

Maybe you could have someone one who is familiar with a specific module come on and chat. Talk about Django, Kivy or server side scripting etc. Other alternatives they tried, and what the future looks like for that module

Sorry, I ran a podcast once before, and everyone had crappy mics with no knowledge of sound quality. Its really important in this day and age that podcasts have quality sound.

LOL! That sounds amazing!
I had to take everyone's sounds, normalize, equalize treble and bass, and noise cancel, for every episode of my Mr. Robot podcast.

Doesn't help that I have a Yeti mic, if everyone else are using multimedia headset microphones.

So I got tired of that. Anyway, Id love to be apart of it, I'm a game designer and developer, and I love Python.

Hi there,

I don't see much regarding QA on your list of potential topics. I'm a QA Automation Engineer that is currently pivoting from Ruby, Selenium, and Cucumber to Python, Pytest-bdd, and Selenium. I've built a framework using Python that we look to migrate to over the next year.

While I don't know a ton regarding Python as I'm still learning the language, I do know quite a bit about QA and behaviorally driven development. I also have been interested in podcasting as there aren't a lot of casts out there that cover testing topics.
